01 Eligibility and acceptance

Match Making Spot is an adults-only service. By using this dating website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and that you are not barred from using such services under the laws of the country in which you live.

Creating an account, browsing profiles or subscribing to our newsletter means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service. Where local law gives you rights that cannot be excluded by agreement, nothing in these terms removes them.

02 Your account and information

You agree to provide accurate information and behave respectfully toward others. This includes the name on your profile, the photographs you upload and the details you give during verification.

• One account per person. Duplicate or impersonating accounts are removed.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
• Profiles must use photographs of you, taken recently, and must pass photo verification before going live.
• If the information on your profile materially changes, update it rather than creating a second account.

03 Community conduct

Harassment, fake profiles, illegal activity, or abusive content is strictly prohibited. In practice, this means you may not:

• Contact members who have blocked you, or create new accounts to do so.
• Solicit money, gifts, investments or financial information from other members. This includes so-called romance fraud of any kind.
• Publish nudity, sexual content involving minors, threats, hate speech or material that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
• Advertise commercial services, promote other dating platforms, or scrape member data.
• Ask other members for their passwords, banking details or identity documents.

Reports are read by our member care team. Where we believe there is a risk to members, we act first and discuss the detail afterwards.

04 Meetings and offline interactions

We are not responsible for user interactions or offline meetings. We verify profiles and moderate the platform, but we cannot supervise what happens when two adults meet in person, and we do not conduct criminal background checks on members in every country.

We publish safety guidance for first meetings and strongly encourage you to use it: meet in public, arrange your own transport, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to someone you have not met.

05 Suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that fail verification, or that place other members at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why and offer a route to appeal by writing to support@matchmakingspot.com.

You may close your account at any time from account settings. Closing your account ends your access to matches and messages; it does not automatically cancel an active paid subscription, which you should cancel separately.

06 Subscriptions and cancellation

Core features including creating a profile, browsing matches and messaging are free. Optional paid features are labelled clearly before purchase, and prices are shown in your local currency where we are able to do so.

• Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the period you selected until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time through account settings, in one click, and access continues until the end of the paid period.
• If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days with the date and amount and we will investigate.
• Nothing here affects your statutory right of withdrawal where local consumer law provides one.

07 Content you post

You keep ownership of the photographs and text you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, display and technically process that content for the purpose of operating the service — for example, resizing a photo for a mobile screen or showing your profile to a member whose preferences you match.

You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you upload, and that your content does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaches these terms.

08 Updates to these terms

We improve the service, and sometimes that means these terms need to change. Continued use of the platform means you accept any updates to these terms. When a change is material, we will notify you by email or in-product before it takes effect.

09 Limitation of liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We work hard to keep it online, accurate and safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every member you meet will be compatible with you.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your interactions with other members. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10 Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
