About Match Making Spot
A membership of 2M+ adults who are looking for one good person, not endless options. Verified profiles, considered introductions, and a member care team that answers.
Our story
We believe love isn’t just data points. It’s chemistry, shared values, and timing. That’s why Match Making Spot is different.
The platform started in a Milwaukee kitchen in 2014. Two friends — one recently divorced, one never married — compared notes on what online dating had become: a treadmill of half-conversations, ghosted plans and profiles that were more fiction than fact. They wanted something that behaved the way a good introduction does: someone who knows you both says, “I think you should meet.”
That is still the shape of the product. You tell us what you are actually looking for — a partner, a companion, a person who shares your faith or your culture — and we introduce a small, curated set of people who fit. Not two hundred faces in a grid. A few names, each with a reason attached.
Today the membership spans every continent and every age from eighteen upwards, but the promise has not moved: real people, verified, and a service that would rather be small and honest than large and careless.
What we stand for
Everything else about this service can change — the design, the features, the wording of our emails. These three things will not.
Mandatory photo verification means no catfishes, just real connections. A profile cannot go live until a real person has checked that the photographs match a real member, and that the member is old enough to be here.
We match you based on personality traits, not just your favorite color. Values, temperament, family intentions and the pace at which you want a relationship to move all carry weight in who we show you.
Your privacy and safety are our top priority. Date with confidence: block and report tools sit on every screen, reports are read by people, and we remove members who make this place unsafe.
How verification works
Verification is not a badge we hand out for politeness. It is the front door. Here is what every member passes through before they can message anyone.
You take a short, guided photo at the moment you sign up. Our team compares it with the images you plan to use. Mismatches are rejected, not queried.
Every member must confirm they are 18 or over. Where local law requires more, we ask for it. There are no exceptions for anyone, including staff.
A short set of questions about what you want and how you communicate. It takes about twelve minutes and it is what makes the introductions worth opening.
AI moderation flags risk signals; a human decides what happens next. Harassment, fake profiles, illegal activity or abusive content is removed without discussion.
Community standards
Trust is a product feature, and it is not free. These are the lines we hold even when holding them is inconvenient.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Your profile exists to help you meet someone, not to be resold.
Free means free. If a feature is paid, it is labelled before you tap it, and cancelling takes one click in your account settings.
Every safety report is read by a person, usually within the hour. If we get it wrong, write to us and a supervisor will review the decision.
Next step
Tell us what matters and we will introduce you to people who share it. Free to join, verified from day one, and easy to leave if it is not right.
